The buses on Skiathos are the most economical and reliable way to get around Skiathos. They have recently been upgraded and the fleet has increased in number which gives both tourists and locals a convenient way of travelling around the island.
There are four bus routes in Skiathos,
1. Airport - Port - Koukonaries runs along the south coast of the island stopping at 26
bus stops. Most stops have an accompanying beach for you to visit.
2. Skiathos Port - Kalyvia - Evangelistria provides a service to The Evangelista
Monastery. A lovely place to visit which houses a gift shop, museum and taverna. All
located within the grounds of a beautiful monastery.
3. Skiathos Port - a short ride from town to Xanemos beach
4. Troulos - Aselinos allows travel to Aselinos beach

Bus tickets are purchased at one of the three “i-box” (info-box):
Located at Skiathos port (bus stop 0), at the Acropolis (stop number 4) and in Koukounaries (bus stop number 26).
